I’m very happy to have won the public vote at the Dedham Art Society Winter Exhibition for my painting, The Rose and Crown!

This iconic Wivenhoe pub, with its characterful architecture and deep community ties, felt like the perfect subject. I’d been wanting to paint it for a while, and this was the ideal opportunity.

I stewarded on the final day of the exhibition, and seeing people react to the painting so warmly was a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone who voted!
